Florina Ivascu remodelles the elitist woman’s silhuette. She uses strong lines, handmade structure-defined details and juxtaposed heavy and fluid fabrics. The figure oftenly transpires delicately through the dress. Designed to cater the luxury market, Florina’s creation is meant to be seen as a sculpture or a masterpieces, always to stand out and become memorable. The house signature line is very strongly defined, always recognisable in the embroidery touches brought to every piece of design.
The designer enters the fashion world in 2010 as winner of the „Arts of Fashion” prize in San Francisco, with the „Cancer Flower” collection.
Florina has a Master Degree in Fashion, at the „University of Art and Design” in Cluj and finished her studies with a full scholarship at „Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera” in Milan.
In 2012, the designer attends the „Arts of Fashion” masterclass courses at Musee du Louvre – Les Arts Decoratifs, in Paris. The courses are concluded with the creation and exhibition of her „Archi-Couture” collection. This is the moment when Florina defines her signature. She collaborates with the well renowned „Maison Lesage Paris” where she is encouraged to conceptualize her threedimensional embroidery shapes and the volumetric constructions.
September 2013 finds Florina among the top 3 finalists of the „Muuse X Vogue Talents”, courtesy of the selection made by Sara Maino/Vogue Italy. Then, Florina showcases her S/S 2014 collection at the 13th Edition of the Avampremiere Gala in Bucharest, where she calls for a new concept of embroidery and powerfull detailing techniques.
In March 2014, the designer participates in the 13th Edition of „Soirées de la Mode”, where she creates a capsule collection dedicated to the life of the great Romanian singer Maria Tanase.
